Easter Adventures | Chasing the Sunrise

Easter was late this year, but that’s how it all works; we’re tied to a lunar calendar that is constantly changing and shifting. It has been many years since I went chasing a sunrise, and because Easter was late this year, it was an early start to my morning while Heather and the little guy slept. It was out to Rattlesnake Point to attend an early morning service with Southside Community Church, Redhill Church and one other that I can’t remember. I took my D750 and carried along my 24mm, 28mm, 50mm, and 105mm lenses. I also took the chance to use manual exposure, especially for the sunrise. I had memories of doing a similar thing of watching the sunrise at PYPS events up at Camp Carin. After the service, I returned home to get the family to join the church for breakfast before the Sunday service. But enough talk, here are the photos from Easter Sunday.

While I did some more photography on Easter, specifically on the Saturday with a trip to Stratford, Ontario, I wanted to focus on the sunrise service mainly because I haven’t chased a sunrise in several years, and it felt good to get up and out to see it and worship at the same time. You can see all the photos from the weekend over on Flickr, including a roll of film I shot through the Pentax MX in Stratford all over on Flickr.
