As much as I love to work in formal environment for portrait work. If the mood strikes, I love doing street photography work.
I'm a fan of history, so when I was offered a chance to attend a historic reenactment with the Fort York Guard as a photographer I jumped at the chance and found a nice little niche of event photography at these reenactments. Even though cameras look weird in period garb, the images that can be captured are fantastic. Of course in doing so I opened myself up and have since joined the ranks of a reenactment unit, which will ultimatly change the way I photograph these events will of course change, from catching the battles to catching the people in the hobby more.
Abandoned buildings are where I really cut my teeth with photography, shooting in such extreme conditions with such variable lighting conditions really forced me to get to know my camera gear. You can check out my collection with many more images on Flickr: Abandoned On Flickr.
